This man in Canada is on a campaign to dicker his single red paperclip for a house.

He’s up to a year’s free rent. :-O

This is a video of an escaped murderer convincing a cop (who has a poor photograph of the escapee, and a full description) that he is just jogging, 12 miles, in 112 degree heat. What’s more, he can’t keep his name straight.

The cop lets him go.

Now I don’t normally advocate more governmental control, but it seems high quality photos of all prisoners, online, and standard issue cell phones with digital cameras for cops could solve some problems.
