My creativity is at an ebb right now, so this will be a little dry…

Short & Sweet:

I’m a married father of three boys.  My degree is a BS in Physics & Mathematics, double major.   For fun, I read, hike, write software, muse on the future and the philosophical implications of the relative state interpretation of quantum mechanics (no, really), and try to come up with the next Big Thing in software.

For work, I’m a software whore, usually writing java or C/C++ code.

Stuff We Did includes:

  • Frimp.net, a free website where you can buy & sell with locals or across the US.
  • Pharce, an iPhone app to let you turn pictures into funny or cute videos & share them.
  • MoochMuch, a free website to help you find stuff to bum from your friends, track who bummed what, and remind those bums to return your stuff.
  • Magicosm, a Java 3D MMORPG that was gonna be the shit.  Now defunct :-(
  • Autoupdater, a Java library for automatically downloading a directory structure, and keep the download in sync with the server.  No server-side software is required.
  • ARMI, a Java library to allow low-bandwidth, asynchronous communication a la RMI.

“We” is me and whoever else happened to be working on the project in question.  These are only the projects where I could find some excuse to take a significant amount of the credit ;-)
